Still here

So it’s been a little while since my last blog post. But I’m back… at least for today. We’ve been busy getting our place ready to put on the market and this is what I’ve been spending all my time working on and stressing about. For those of you who have seen our place before, take a look at it’s transformation.

We hired an interior designer to help us out because we have no sense of design or style and at first people balked at the idea of us hiring one but after looking at our finished product we all agree… it was so worth it to hire her. Even M and I are impressed at how well our place has turned out.
We just put it on the market last week but if we aren’t able to sell this place soon I think I might go crazy. Keeping the place looking as clean and neat and organized as it needs to be for each showing is just not sustainable. Sometimes when I only have two hours notice to get our place ready and the kids out of the house, as I’m scrambling around making the beds and cleaning the house and stowing the appliances I have one kid who is pulling all the books off the bookshelf and another kid who is wiping all their boogers all over our drapes. It can be so maddening sometimes.
Needless to say, I am really not that fun to be around these days. I suppose I could always just take the kids out of the house to play the whole day away every day and this way we wouldn’t really be in the house but well… I’m not that awesome of a mom. So for now we will be running to my parents place as often as possible and I am learning to chill out and not freak out over every speck of dirt in our tile and grout.
